Zhenan Sun received the B.E. degree in industrial automation from the Dalian University of Technology, Dalian, China, in 1999, the M.S. degree in system engineering from the Huazhong University of Science and Technology, Wuhan, China, in 2002, and the Ph.D. degree in pattern recognition and intelligent systems from the Institute of Automation, Chinese Academy of Sciences (CASIA), Beijing, China, in 2006. Since 2006, he has been a Faculty Member with the CASIA. He is currently a Professor with the Center for Research on Intelligent Perception and Computing, National Laboratory of Pattern Recognition, CASIA. Dr. Sun is a Senior Member of the IEEE and an Associate Editor of the IEEE TRANSACTIONS ON BIOMETRICS, BEHAVIOR, AND IDENTITY SCIENCE. He is the chair of Technical Committee on Biometrics, International Association for Pattern Recognition (IAPR) and an IAPR Fellow. He has authored/coauthored over 300 technical papers. His current research interests include biometrics, pattern recognition, and computer vision.
