报告摘要（ABSTRACT）：
The concept of “HE Internationalization” rooted in the widespread current perception of policy in world Higher Education. Internationalization as a process based on economic, cultural, scientific, and political transactions that are based on consensus among interacting nation. The concept refers to “the process of integrating an international/intercultural dimension into the teaching, research and service functions of the higher education institution (Knight, 1994)”. There are 5 major reasons for Internationalization of Higher Educations: a) to improve student preparedness, b)Internationalize curricula, c)Enhance an institution’s international profile, d)Bolster research and knowledge production and e)Diversify faculty and staff (Marmolejo, 2012). Internationalization of Higher Education helps communities to develop university systems that cover global interests and produce a skilled workforce with cosmopolitan awareness and multi-cultural competencies. Moreover, Internationalization of Higher Education permits a nation to expand and elevate its countrywide and international profiles; institutional strengths through strategic partnerships; enlarge the academic community and benchmark scholarly achievements; mobilize domestic intellectual resources; add significant contemporary learning outcomes to student experience; and develop stronger research groups(Hamidifar et al., 2017). SU also considers opportunities to guarantee academic sustainability of its academic environment through internationalization process.
报告人简介（BIOGRAPHY）：
Dr. Rashid (Fallah) received his Ph.D. degree in Remote Sensing of Natural Environment from Tehran University, Iran. He is currently an Associate Professor in Shiraz University. He also held teaching and research positions in the field of Geo-science modeling and Satellite Image Processing of moderate resolution imageries. He has awarded world-class research grants as an invited associate researcher in Otago University-New Zealand, University of Lund-Sweden and very recently in CASIA-CRIPAC-China 2016-2017 in his professional career. After serving for more than 10 years of experience as director of international affairs in Iranian science and technology career, nowadays, he serves as Head of Center for Academic & International Cooperation at the SU Chancellor Office for his second time of career. He is also the Secretary of SU Council of Internationalization for Academic Affairs and the SU representative in IHEI project of Academic Internationalization through Erasmus+ program, SPAIN, EU.
